Week Fourty-five

08.27.07

For Mary and I it's all about the ketchup. I mean, why else would fries exist?

08.26.07

Fancy vanilla & pear soap I purchased in Canada. The 13.5% tax was so worth it.

08.25.07

08.24.07

New Deck on one of Mary's many goodbye happy hours.

08.23.07

Both of these pieces, today and previous day, are from Cara Lyndon, a great site for cute, vintage inspired gifts.

08.17.07

Jason having fun on the edge of Mount Royal.

08.16.07

Yummy truffles near Rue St. Denis. Passion fruit, basil, lychee, earl gray, salt...

08.15.07

Hotel de Ville Montreal near the tourist trap of Place Jaques-Cartier. No, we did not stay there. Our hotel was still pretty sweet.

08.14.07

Megan's new fur-baby Luke.

Week Fourty-three

08.13.07

I'm golden! Canada, here we come. Talk about by the skin of your teeth.

08.12.07

08.11.07

Went to the Jersey shore (don't ask why, it's a beach ok) and left my camera at home. It's not so bad since there wasn't much to take pictures of.
So, what's the deal with charging people $10/person to go to the beach?
Oh, yeah, I got a little burned. Luckily, that will be brown in a couple of days.

08.10.07

Banana Split Brownies I made for work's august b-day celebration.
Scharffen Berger made all the difference.

08.09.07

08.08.07

A colleague's work.

08.07.07

Week Fourty-two

I'm a week behind, I know. Haven't had much impetus to post lately. It's summer, I like to be outside, been really tired, been bored with my blog, been reading, been knitting, been thinking about Montreal (two more days!). You get what I'm saying. The sad thing is that I actually have a bit to talk about, especially in the FO department. Maybe later today or when I get back. We'll see.

08.06.07

Somebody tacked this little guy to the middle of the street, straight onto the asphalt, inches away from the trolley tracks.

08.05.07

So this is what a skein of super bulky looks like! Saddly, the bumpy texture is not the best for the Twinkle hoodie.

08.04.07

I finished this weeks ago. It's the knitty coachella. I used knitpick's shine worsted in reef, about 3.5 skeins. I think I went a little too long but otherwise it came out pretty nice.

08.03.07

These were strawberry cupcakes I made for Mary's party. I changed the recipe a bit by adding thinly chopped strawberries to the cake mix.

08.02.07

08.01.07

These are the mod benches they expect you to sit on at TRL. Haven't tried them, so I guess I shouldn't judge but they really don't look comfortable.

07.31.07

Work, work, work.
